INNESS is an intimate country refuge, and members club located in Accord, New York. Inness is situated on a campus of 225 pastoral acres, which include a 12-room farmhouse hotel, 28 guest cabins, restaurant, event bar, a 9-hole golf course, sporting outfitter, two swimming pools, tennis courts, walking trails, a retail home and farm shop.
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and service. This individual will be responsible for hiring, scheduling, training, evaluation, and accountability of staff. The ideal candidate will have experience managing in a full-service, fine dining setting.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Lead Restaurant Management Team with day-to-day operations, staff supervision and training. Fostering a positive work atmosphere.
- Assisting in running services for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner service.
- Resolving customers’ questions and grievances in a professional manner.
- Recording income and expenses and ensuring that the cash registers are balanced and reported daily cash drops.
- Sending daily shift reports to ownership, F&B Management.
- Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
- Assist with POS Management; entering new products, troubleshooting.
- Daily check in with Chef re: any menu changes, updated menus on InDesign accordingly.
- Assisting with guest reservations, guest amenity and additional f&b requests.
- Communicate with the Chef regarding special requests or reservations.
- Coordinate communication between the front of the house and back of the house staff.
- Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling training sessions, assist with onboarding paperwork, review menu knowledge post training etc.)
- Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience in leading a team within a relaxed fine dining environment.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software, such as Resy and Lightspeed
- Good math and reporting skills
- Warm customer service attitude
- Communication and team management abilities
- Availability to work within operating hours including evenings, holidays, weekends
