INNESS is an intimate country refuge, hotel and restaurant located in Accord, New York. Situated on a campus of 225 pastoral acres, which include a 12-room farmhouse hotel, 28 guest cabins, restaurant, event barn, a 9-hole golf course, sporting outfitter, two swimming pools, tennis courts, walking trails, a retail home and farm shop, as well as an organic farm and orchard.
The Spa Attendant will meet and exceed guest expectations by providing efficient and
courteous spa and wellness services in accordance with Brand Ambition, Purpose, Brand
Pillar’s, Values and Spirit. The Spa Attendant is responsible for, but not limited to, the overall
spa and fitness staff tidiness and appearance.


 Always keep work area clean and neat.
 Must follow all Standards and Procedures as taught by designated trainers, Lead
Therapist or Spa and Fitness Management Team.
 To ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the Spa.
 Assist in the operations of all spa departments as required:

Front Desk
Spa Retail Area
Relaxation Area
Wet Area
Fitness Center
Spa Suites

 Report dysfunctional equipment to Spa Operations Manager.
 To maintain inventory of supplies for the operations of the spa and fitness.
 To attend daily line-ups, weekly and monthly spa meetings.
 Will be expected to assist various demonstrations and events.
 To maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene as lay down by the
Spa Director.

 Must attend all training courses as deemed necessary and must adhere to training
as set down by the Spa Management team.
 Must have the ability to courteously interact and answer all spa and hotel related
questions with guests.
 Assist in all areas of the spa and fitness as and when necessary.
 To be adaptable and accountable for all actions.
 Will perform as a professional, with a friendly business attitude and conduct all duties
and responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the Spa and Fitness
Management Team.
 Will be responsible for the maintaining the cleanliness of the entire Spa and Fitness
in particular the changing rooms, toilets, showers, relaxation areas, fitness center
and Treatment suites, pool area, wet areas. These should be kept in a neat, tidy, and
sanitary manner in accordance with the Standards and Procedure and Health and
Safety Standards.
 Will have attention to detail and be able to arrange spa items in a decorative manner.
 To assist in the smooth flow of the guests’ journey throughout the day.
 Will be expected to aid therapists in setting up for treatments and clearing away
 Will be expected to ensure lockers are always stocked with clean linen and remove
soiled linen.
 Assist with cleaning of pool area outside of operating hours.
 To receive training to ensure that all-relevant legislation pertaining to the Health and
Safety at work Law and Health and Hygiene standards are implemented and
monitored within the spa.
 Courtesy to guests and other members of staff always.
 To attend to guests in both the relaxation, pool area, waiting areas and fitness center
ensuring that they are comfortable as well as offering refreshments.
 Will perform as a professional, with a friendly business attitude and conduct all duties
and responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the Spa and Fitness
 Will greet each guest with a smile and acknowledge guest even in passing.
 Will proactively offer assistance to all spa guests when necessary.
 Maintain spa facility tidy and clean based on our hygiene standards
 Ensure high knowledge of additional hotel services, Rooms, F&B etc.
 Support during all spa and fitness special events and activities as requested
 Responsible for maintaining knowledge of all spa, fitness and member activities, spa
treatments, spa products, fitness and wellness programs
 Handle guest complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, informing
supervisor when required, to ensure follow through and the problems are resolved
 Ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming
 Attend hotel and spa & fitness training sessions when requested by management
 Maintain positive interactions with guests and maintain a positive
relationship with colleagues
 Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by spa and fitness
management team.

Skills & Qualifications

 2 Year Experience in a luxury hotel environment or similar
 Positive, engaging, and energetic personality
 Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision
 Very high attention to detail

 Sensitive to cultural nuances
 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal on English
 Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment
 Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure and with various
 Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies
 Ability to stand for extended periods of time
 Multi-lingual is a plus
$20-$25 per hour
